Important changes in visa issuing process in the Lithuanian Embassy in Bucharest

Starting from September 1, Lithuanian Embassy in Bucharest will not be accepting the Schengen and national visa applications. Some other consular services for the foreign citizens will also be transfered to the Lithuanian Embassies in other countries.

From September 1 the following services will be transfered to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Vienna (Austria):

- applications for the Lithuanian residence permit;

- all citizenship related matters (applications for acquiring/restoring/reinstating Lithuanian citizenship, as well as the Certificate confirming Lithuanian descent);

- document legalization.

Visa applications can be submitted in any Lithuanian diplomatic representation outside the Schengen area. The list of the Lithuanian diplomatic respresentations can be found here.
