January 13 commemoration
This year marks the thirty-fourth anniversary of the tragic events that gave birth to our Freedom and strengthened our Nation.
January 13, 1991, was one of the most critical days in Lithuania's liberation from Soviet occupation. On that night, Lithuania lost fourteen of its citizens who were defending its independence, and hundreds were wounded when Soviet troops stormed the Vilnius TV Tower and the Radio and Television Building.
We remember why we are free.
