Lithuanian film participates in the Scandinavian Cinema Week in Sofia

Lithuanian film "The Miracle" was screened during the Scandinavian Cinema Week in Sofia which takes place on the last week of September. "The Miracle" (dir. Eglė Vertelytė) is a tragical comedy about Irena, a manager of a pig farm, struggling to save her farm from bakrupcy in 1992 Lithuania, during the shift to the capitalist economy. This film is a joint Lithuanian-Bulgarian-Polish production.

It is already the second time Lithuania takes part in the Scandinavian Cinema Week. The event is sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Romania and to the Republic of Bulgaria.
