The anniversary of Restoration of an Independent State of Lithuania

On March 11th, 2016, a celebration for the Restoration of an Independent State of Lithuania was organized in Sofia. Together with the Lithuanian community in Bulgaria, participated the ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Romania and to Bulgaria, Arvydas Pocius and his spouse.

Lithuanian Honorary Consul Dr.R.Ribarov and the Ambassador Arvydas Pocius greeted everyone and wished them good luck, meaningful work and to foster the Lithuanian identity, so that all future generations would be proud.

During the event a quiz about Lithuanian history was organized. The winners of the quiz among Lithuanians were Virginija Pupeikytė-Dzhumerova, Eglė Barauskaitė - Volkė and Jūratė Pikelienė. Among the Bulgarians the winner was Lithuanian Honorary Consul Dr. R. Ribarov.
