THE WINTER EDITION OF "GLOBAL VILLAGE"
On 24 February 2013 the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Romania participates in the winter Edition of “Global Village”, organised by AIESEC Bucharest in the Palatul National al Copiilor (National Children Palace) Global Village, a trademark of AIESEC International (the world’s largest student-run organization, present in over 110 countries and territories and with over 60,000 members), is a unique event for everyone which brings together young people who come from different cultures from all over the world. Participants spend and find out interesting facts about other countries, by interacting with guests and understanding patterns about cultural relativism and artifacts.
This event brings together more the 20 different cultures and at least 1500 people who share a variety of traditional dances, quick lessons about different cultures, competitions with prizes and also speeches held by representatives of embassies and the Mayor of The City Hall of Bucharest
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania participated with a stand presenting information, maps, books, brochures, objects, traditional music recordings, related to the culture of Lithuania.
More than 20 Embassies and Cultural organisations took part at the event.
